DOiT Volume II is more than a paper workbook.
This product uses the same features of "Spot the Issues" and "in the depth answer keys" users found so helpful in the original DOiT lab workbook. The SHOWiT tool is expanded so you can do more verification comparisons.
Volume II contains major changes in the informational tables to allow comparisons for pings. This allows you to quickly see if your configurations are the same as those in the reachability tables. Additionally you will find labs enriched with new features from 12.2, 12.3, and 12.4 IOS. OSPF, EIGRP and BGP relationships are expanded. Included in tabular format is specific information on other protocols.
You will be provided access to this product for 12 months. Volume II will be updated as new requirements of the lab are defined by Cisco. Like always, upgrades will be free for Volume II purchasers until such time that lab requirements change significantly to warrant a new release of the workbook. Once a new workbook is released we will provide a discount for upgrade to the existing DOiT II users.
Purchasing the DOiT lab workbook automatically creates a personal learning portal for you and gives you full access to "My DOiT Vol.2 " tab. In this portal, you have access to the DOiT lab workbook Vol.2 and all associated material. You can also use this portal to track your progress on lab completion and update and revise this information as needed. NetMasterClass has developed candidate Roadmap that you can use as a checklist for study. My NMC portal stores and provides easy access to all NetMasterClass materials.
One of the key ingredients for successfully preparing for the CCIE® Lab is to perform as many well thought out hands on scenarios as possible. Emphasis is placed on the phrase "well thought out" because the scenarios must be challenging. They must be full of hidden issues for the test taker to spot and solve. Furthermore, the hidden issues must build upon each other to provide greater complexity.
Each lab takes at least
eight hours to perform and includes at least 15 major
internetworking topics. In addition to covering all the topics on the CCIE® lab, these labs will
get the CCIE® candidate into optimal “test
taking shape” for the actual lab
experience.
A comprehensive "Spot the Issues" Answer Key
provides a detailed description of the hidden issues found in the lab, as well as, hints and tip for solving the task. Each task is completely explained in the answer key.
Each lab includes the initial configuration scripts used for each device in the scenario as a separate file.
DOiT verification tables will assist CCIE candidates to learn how to better test the configurations of specific technologies. DOiT verification tools will provide CCIE candidates with the ability to download IOS commands, oftentimes with useful regular expression extensions, to use on their own scenarios.
SHOWiT Interface allows the candidate to query on-line the state of a test pod that has been loaded with the correct final configuration for each scenario. This allows you to quickly locate the final configurations for the lab. Simply go to SHOWiT, choose the lab, choose the piece of equipment, and type in the Cisco Show command and you will immediately have the configurations. SHOWiT supports over 1500 Cisco show commands. In addition, to the Cisco Show commands, SHOWiT also supports NMC proprietary commands. For example, if you want to build the configurations for all pieces of equipment in one lab, just choose NMC proprietary command and type in "sh all run" and the complete configuration for the lab will be displayed. You can copy and paste all output from the SHOWiT tool. The SHOWiT tool saves you countless hours of looking through final configurations to find the output you desire. Access SHOWiT demo >>
As a purchaser of the DOIT Vol.2 lab workbook, you will have access to both the new BBS and the old one (and its Archive). The BBS includes discussions by scenario for the scenarios in the DOiT Vol.2 lab workbook. The BBS is monitored by CCIE®'s who answer your questions on the scenarios in the workbook. This provides quick and accurate answers to questions as you study. The archive has a year and a half of accumulated questions making the BBS immediately one of the best resources you will have for continued study.
Workbook is written by NetMasterClass professional CCIE® staff headed by Valeriy Pavlichenko and Andrew Caslow, authors of the best selling CCIE® preparation guide, "Cisco Certification Bridges, Routers and Switches for CCIEs". Caslow and Pavlichenko have trained thousands of CCIE® candidates and use this experience for developing a workbook to fully prepare you for the CCIE® lab. NetMasterClass is a Cisco Learning Partner.
All DOiT labs use the same number of routers, switches(3550 and 3560) and underlying topology. Therefore, you will have a consistent number of routers and switches for each and every lab. This minimizes the amount of recabling and pod adjustment you need to make to perform each lab. The first 10 DOiT vol.2 labs are updated with new Catalyst 3560 features!
